Golden Milkcap

$50.00
This Golden Milkcap was found on a mushroom hunt with our 3 year son Orion near Cannon Falls, Minnesota. After reading a book on mushrooms, Orion was excited about finding them on every walk. When Orion finds a mushroom, his first question is always "Can I eat it?" In the case of this mushroom, it is inedible due to its extremely peppery taste. Golden Milkcap is in the Lactarius family of mushrooms which can be identified by the milky substance they exude when bruised. The golden-orange color of the cap with its striated shades of red and brown inspired me to paint.

This fine art giclee print is a limited edition, signed and numbered. Dimensions include a 0.5" blank border. I sign and edition this fine print to allow space for a mat while framing. While we color correct and inspect every print by hand against the original work, colors represented vary on different computer screens.

Giclee print is acid-free, mounted on archival acid-free board. The paper never touches an acidic surface, making this print archival, which means it should never fade or yellow- just don't put it in direct sunlight or mount with acidic paper.

Because of the high quality, acid-free archival nature of this Giclee print, I only ship this beautiful print flat, in a box packed with materials to keep the integrity of this museum quality print.

The original painting of this print has SOLD. If you are interested in purchasing original work, please visit my Artwork Archive at https://www.artworkarchive.com/profile/heather-friedli
